Invisalign is convenient, and treatment times are often quicker compared with conventional braces. The system is versatile and can treat multiple orthodontic problems, often more comfortably compared with fixed braces.

Invisalign provides predictable and proven results using the most advanced orthodontic technologies to move teeth precisely into the correct locations. There are several clear benefits in choosing Invisalign, including:
Invisalign aligners are made from a more comfortable material compared with other clear aligners, so they are easier to insert and remove. Treatment is designed to place gentle forces on teeth, creating less discomfort than other braces.
The clear plastic material used to create the aligners is almost invisible, provided you ensure you keep your aligners thoroughly cleaned and remove them while consuming food and beverages. Some people do notice that their teeth appear to have a slight ‘halo’ around them, but the effect is extremely discreet.
We recommend only removing the aligners when necessary, such as for meals and when you wish to clean your teeth. Ideally, they should be worn at least twenty two hours each day, but the fact that you can remove them does offer more flexibility, for example, if you have a very special event and wish to leave them out for a few hours. It is important not to do this too frequently, as otherwise, it could disrupt your treatment.
With conventional fixed braces, it is necessary to spend more time cleaning your teeth thoroughly. All plaque and food must be removed from around the brackets and wires to prevent tooth decay and gum disease and to ensure teeth don’t become stained around the brackets.
With Invisalign, there are no such problems. You don’t need to use any special tools to clean your teeth. You can simply brush and floss normally. The only thing you will need to do is clean your teeth after every meal in addition to first thing in the morning and last thing at night.
Sticky, hard, or very crunchy foods need to be avoided with fixed braces as they can easily damage the brackets and wires or will become stuck around teeth and are difficult to remove. You don’t need to avoid these foods with Invisalign teeth straightening. You can follow your normal diet without any restrictions.
Fixed braces have brackets cemented onto teeth that are powered by wires and sometimes by elastics. These components can easily become damaged, or brackets may work loose and will need to be bonded back onto teeth. Invisalign doesn’t have any parts that can break.
Fixed braces must be tightened and adjusted regularly, so appointments during treatment can be lengthy. Additional appointments might be needed if any brace components break. Invisalign appointments are quite quick in comparison. We only need to check your treatment is progressing as we planned and to provide you with more sets of aligners. Usually, we will give you several sets of aligners during each appointment, so we will only need to see you every six to eight weeks.
